One More Woodstock
It's the year 2020,
There's retirees aplenty
You wouldn't think old folks could multiply
But the boomer generation
Is bankrupting the nation
There's millions and they never seem to die
We needed a fundraiser
So we put on one more Woodstock
While there was still a demand
It was a septuagenarian
Age of Aquarian
Love generation's last stand
And they worked all day setting up the stage
While the old folks gathered round
When the announcer said, "good evening folks,"
They all shouted, "turn it down!"
And the day-glo painted peace sign buses started to arrive
But it wasn't the Grateful Dead, it was the grateful - still alive
Old James Brown he could still get down, but he couldn't get up again
Joe Cocker sang, "I get by with a little help from Depends"
Crosby stills and Nash and Young began to sing their gold
But now they've changed their name to Crosby, Stills and Nash ... and old
There was a high-pitched squealing noise each time Santana played
But it wasn't coming from his guitar, it was from his hearing aid
There is only one Beatle left and he still goes out on a tour
An ancient Paul McCartney sings, when I was sixty-four
Ex-hippies still take a trip, although they're not on drugs
They used to trip on acid, but now they trip on rugs
And if they have one more Woodstock,
For those still left to buy it
It won't be three days of peace and love,
But three days of peace and quiet
la la la la la
la la la la la
One more Woodstock
